The Shinobu Distillery is situated on the Japanese Sea in Niigata, where strong sea breezes and winter snowfall create an abundance of soft, clear water in a region known as the land of the "three whites"—snow, rice, and sake. Master distiller Usami Ken draws on more than 30 years of artisanal brewing expertise in the mashing and fermentation process, which lasts about six days to create a new make with a clear, solid body and an unparalleled aroma.
This small-batch Shinobu Single Malt is crafted from hand-picked whisky aged for more than three years in mizunara oak and first-fill bourbon barrels, resulting in a whisky with unique purity, a clear and full-bodied character, and the distinctive features of mizunara oak and malt. Limited edition, with only 3,000 bottles available worldwide.
